Digital leader with over 15 years online experience in aviation, media and manufacturing industry, having served both B2C and B2B markets. Henk Jan has both directly and indirectly managed complex matrix organizations as well as startups. He successfully led diverse teams in various countries, developed new business and transformed organizations to better serve customers benefitting from technology. Currently responsible for Digital and Innovation at Schiphol. He is a strategic designer of digital ecosystems to meet the fast changing customer needs and has the proven ability to drive organization wide change. Henk Jan has a solid academic background with a Master degree in Economics obtained from Groningen University and Copenhagen Business School.

In 2018 Schiphol Airport has gone up one place, from the twelfth to the eleventh, in the ranking of the twenty largest airports in the world. The Airports Council International (ACI) published the annual list of the largest airports worldwide based on the number of passengers. Schiphol serves yearly 71 million customers and hosts in total 182 retail shops and 110 Food & Beverage shops.
